Residential Concrete & Excavation Services
Make Room for What You Have Planned
The driveway has seen better days. The pool gets more maintenance than use. The old shed is gone, but its concrete base is still taking up space.
Lucas Excavating helps homeowners remove what’s in the way and prepare for what comes next. Residential services include concrete removal and replacement, pool demolition, excavation, land clearing, and grading throughout Sterling Heights and Metro Detroit.
Have a project in mind but aren’t sure what it involves? A visit to the property lets us assess the ground, check access, and talk through your options.

Concrete & Site Services for Your Home
Some projects need a replacement surface. Others just need the old one gone. The work starts with how you want to use the space. Removal, hauling, and replacement or restoration can be planned together, so you know which stages Lucas will handle and what will be left ready afterward.
Driveway Removal & Replacement
Concrete driveway removal and replacement, including hauling, grading, ground preparation, formwork, and pouring. We can also remove and replace asphalt driveways with concrete.
In-Ground & Above-Ground Pool Removal
Pool demolition and removal, including backfill, compaction, drainage, and lawn restoration. The ground may settle afterward, so plans for the space matter. Building over the former pool area is not recommended.
Patio & Sidewalk Removal & Replacement
Removal and replacement for worn patios and sidewalks, with stamped and colored concrete available as finish options. Removal-only service makes room for a deck, landscaping, or another use.
Slab, Foundation & Rat Wall Removal
Removal of concrete left after a shed or barn has already been demolished, including slabs, foundations, and rat walls—the concrete perimeter extending below ground. Below-grade concrete can add to the removal work and estimate.
Residential Excavation, Land Clearing & Grading
Tree and brush clearing, excavation, soil removal, lot balancing, and grading for residential construction. Drainage work and utility trenching can also be included, with the appropriate trade handling line installation.

A Plan That Starts at Your Property
Equipment access, concrete thickness, and below-ground foundations can change what a job involves. A firsthand review helps identify those details before work begins, so the estimate reflects your property.
We research permit requirements based on the location and scope. Our licensed and insured team keeps safety and cleanup as part of the work throughout the project.
